Highland Golf was formed in February 2011, on the Isle of Skye, Scotland

Early in 2010 Gordon Allan (Proprietor) decided to start customising his golf clubs after years of using 'off the shelf' standard clubs, during that season his handicap dropped from 14 to his (at the time) best of 8. He is now playing with a handicap of 6, and still making his own clubs.

As the customising of his clubs appeared to be giving Gordon a measure of success he made the decision to receive standardised training, become certified as a Clubmaker, and set up a business giving other golfers the opportunity to have access to truly customised golf clubs (not off the shelf, or slightly adjusted off the shelf). Gordon completed training early in 2011, is now a certified Clubmaker, Clubfitter, and member of the Golf Clubmakers Association (GCA) Europe; Highland Golf was born.

Highland Golf may not be the cheapest Clubmaker on the market; but we aim to be the best. All clubs assembled by Highland Golf are constructed to the standard we would expect for our personal use, and fully customised to suit the client.
